10th Week!

It's been a few days since I added anything to the blog, but not much has been going on. I'm glad to report that I don't get the nausea anymore and haven't in a couple of weeks. The burping is still quite present and alive, but that's nothing compared to the morning sickness.

JR and I have really been having a good time talking about our dreams for our child and sharing our prayers for the baby. It's so exciting to think about such things! JR's also having fun referring to my "Baby Belly", as my belly's beginning to show now. I have to constantly remind myself that I don't have to suck it in and hide it anymore, that it's not just because I'm chubby! :-)

We're heading to Atlanta tomorrow, so I won't get another chance to blog till later this week. I do, however, want to give an update of what the baby is doing this week, the 10th week:

"Your baby (now the size of a prune) has small indentations on his legs (soon to be knees and ankles!), and tiny buds of baby teeth are forming under the gums. His stomach and kidneys are kicking into gear, producing digestive juices and urine, and if it's a boy, his testes are making testosterone (how manly!)."

How amazing and great is our God, what He can create and form in just 10 weeks! Thank you, Lord, for this wonderful blessing and every moment we have with Baby Prune!

  1. It is amazing what GOD can do in such a short time. Just wait until you get those "butterfly movements." They remind of going over a hill really fast and you get that feeling in your stomach. Ok, well, maybe that wasn't a good description, but you get my point. I love being able to feel the baby move. It's like my rush for the day and for the next how ever many months. I'm now 21 weeks along and love every minute of it. Hopefully all goes well for you in the coming months. Enjoy it 'cause it goes fast.
